Vondelpark Circle
Distance: 3.2 km · Time: 45 min · Difficulty: Easy
The classic. Start at the main entrance near Leidseplein, loop through the park past the open-air theatre and rose garden, stop for coffee at one of the terrace cafés, and circle back via the Filmmuseum pond. It's flat, green, and endlessly pleasant — perfect for a morning warm-up or a lazy Sunday.
Canal Ring Heritage Loop
Distance: 5.1 km · Time: 1h 10m · Difficulty: Moderate
Wind through the Jordaan along the Prinsengracht, cross over to the Herengracht's Golden Bend, and loop back via the flower market on the Singel. This walk passes some of Amsterdam's most photographed bridges and canal houses. Add a food stop at any of the dozens of cafés lining the canals.
Amstel River Walk
Distance: 2.4 km · Time: 30 min · Difficulty: Easy
A quick loop from De Pijp across the Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug), along the Amstel's east bank, and back through the Albert Cuyp market streets. Short enough for a lunch break, long enough to clear your head. The Skinny Bridge at golden hour is worth the walk alone.
Oosterpark & Tropenmuseum Loop
Distance: 3.8 km · Time: 50 min · Difficulty: Easy
Start at the Tropenmuseum, cross through Oosterpark with its sculptures and ponds, wander through the Dappermarkt (one of Amsterdam's most diverse street markets), and loop back via the Mauritskade. A walk that feels nothing like the tourist centre — in the best way.
NDSM Wharf Circuit
Distance: 6.2 km · Time: 1h 25m · Difficulty: Moderate
Take the free ferry from Amsterdam Centraal to NDSM wharf — a former shipyard turned creative hub. Walk past street art murals, industrial architecture, and waterfront restaurants, then loop through the residential streets of Amsterdam-Noord before catching the ferry back. It feels like a different city entirely.
